Little Dinos for Lucas was created to provide supportive community, disability representation, and free educational resources for families with disabled kids.
Little Dinos for Lucas was cofounded by two sisters-in-law: one an artist with a disability, and the other a parent raising a son with a similar condition. Together, we bring experience, creativity, and community into everything we do.
Disabled kids deserve to be the heroes of their own stories. As a disabled artist, I know how powerful it is to see yourself reflected in art and media. When I first became disabled, I rarely saw disability represented in ways that felt real or empowering; but when I did, it made a difference. Now, through painting and illustration, I create inclusive artwork that centers disabled kids and disability culture. My goal is to make art that sparks joy, starts conversations, and helps kids feel proud of who they are.
As a mom to a disabled child, I’ve come to understand how deeply disability shapes our family’s daily life in beautiful, complex, and often unexpected ways. From navigating support systems and learning about assistive devices, to embracing disability culture and pride, this journey has connected us to a vibrant community. Little Dinos is about creating a space where disabled kids and their families feel seen, celebrated, and supported. We believe in raising our children with disability pride, self-advocacy, and joy at the center.
